Offshore Amrit Contract for the Exploration, Development, and Production of Petroleum between the Syrian Government, the General Petroleum Corporation, and the Russian company  SNG East Med S.A

On December 25, 2013, the Syrian Ministry of Oil signed an exploration and production contract with the Russian company "Suez Neftegaz" for petroleum in the Syrian regional waters in (Block Number 11).

The contract stipulates the performance of survey and exploration operations for petroleum in the area, covering an expanse of 2,190 square kilometers of Syrian economic waters off the coast of Tartous. The eastern boundaries of Block 11 are approximately 5 kilometers away from the coastline.

The contract extends over a period of 25 years starting from the date of the first commercial production in the aforementioned region, with the possibility of extending the period by 5 years upon the company's reques
