Next Monday, we at the OPEN-Syria Project will release our UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office-funded report titled, "Sky High: The Ensuing Narcotics Crisis in the Middle East and the Role of the Assad Regime."

The report, nine months in the making, documents the types, quantities, countries of origin, and points of interdiction of narcotics seizures in or related to the Middle East from 2016 to 2022, and presents the networks involved in production and smuggling.

The report will be launched during a hybrid event at Chatham House MENA in London, chaired by Lina Khatib, where I'll be joined by Ibrahim Olabi and my colleague Caroline Rose.
